The Rotary Club of Brandon recently joined student recruitment events across Manitoba, hosted by Volunteer Manitoba. On October 5th and 6th, our team was on campus at both Assiniboine Community College (ACC) and Brandon University (BU) to share how Rotary serves our community and to invite students to join Rotaract.
Rotarians Mojisola, Cheryl, and Kara, alongside Rotaractor Zhara, hosted tables at both locations. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with local students, hand out information bookmarks, and build connections across our community.
Fair Highlights
- Gift Basket Draws: Rotaractor Zhara assembled gift baskets for draw prizes at each campus. The giveaway created plenty of excitement, including a memorable moment when our thrilled ACC winner dropped her phone upon hearing the news!
- Growing Rotaract: Dozens of interested students scanned our QR code to follow the Brandon Rotaract Instagram page. We look forward to welcoming new faces to upcoming Rotaract activities.
- Community Connections: We connected with other local organizations during the fairs, laying the groundwork for exciting future collaborations with the Lions Club and upcoming community health events.
