The Rotary Club of Brandon has honoured the legacy of longtime Rotarian Carl Golletz with the installation of a memorial bench at the Riverbank Discovery Centre. This tribute celebrates his 50+ years of "Service Above Self" and provides a quiet place for reflection.

The Rotary Club of Brandon is proud to announce a permanent tribute to one of its most dedicated members, Carl Golletz. In recognition of his more than 50 years of commitment to the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self," the club has funded a memorial bench now located at the Riverbank Discovery Centre.
The bench, which was installed in mid-November 2025, offers a peaceful spot for visitors to pause and enjoy the surroundings. It is positioned in the northwest corner of the Centre, facing west and opposite the beloved Peter Sawatzky Black Bear Sculpture, just off the main entrance.
This thoughtful installation serves not only as a resting place for the community but also as a lasting reminder of Carl's significant contributions and his enduring spirit of service. The bench was recently visited by Carl's wife, Vivian, whose presence underscores the personal meaning of this tribute.
